Top Dawg rapper Ab-Soul took a few shots at Jay Electronica while performing this week.

The rapper appeared to be retaliating against the New Orleans rapper after he dissed Kendrick in a social media post in February. Ab started rapping without a beat, like battle rappers do, and unloaded a few shots aimed at Electronica. “I was like a swami to Jay Electronica until he figured that Kendrick wouldn’t admit that he would body him for a milly. I told dizzle keep quiet i’m a get him. We don’t need dirt on your hands getting the keys to the city. It hurts when your OG who’s supposed to be your GOD is standing next to King Kunta feeling like Toby,” rapped Ab-Soul. The rapper was performing at Joey Bada$$'s STEEZ Day Festival this week.

Electronica’s diss to Kendrick came out of nowhere. The two previously appeared on Big Sean’s “Control.” “Put some Kendrick on? Nah, f*** that, f*** that. Look I like the one Kendrick song with Gunplay, 'Cartoons & Cereal’ but other than that? We don’t know what the n****’s talking about..We don’t know what these lames are talking about.. You can’t say ‘F*** Kendrick,’ that’s still out brother. That’s still our brother. ‘Kendrick would body you, ‘look you couldn’t pay Kendrick a million dollars. Kendrick will tell you himself he couldn’t body me. Kendrick is my son. Kendrick is my baby. Kendrick wishes he could be like me,” said Electronica earlier this year. In April, the rapper apologized for his comments. Kendrick has never responded to him publicly.
