Tyler, The Creator sparked controversy recently due to his Mountain Dew commercials allegedly containing a racist message within them. He released his final piece of work of the three-part commercial on April 24th, and even though Mountain Dew was very pleased with Tyler's creative scope, the ads were ultimately pulled from the public's view because many claimed the commercials were racist.
One activist, Dr. Boyce Watkins, claimed that the commercials were a form of "corporate racism." Mountain Dew has since released a statement apologizing for offending anyone.
We apologize for this video and take full responsibility. We have removed it from all Mountain Dew channels and Tyler is removing it from his channels as well."
