Though nobody has seen or heard from former Bad Boy Records artist Loon in years, the long lost MC has now turned up in unfortunate circumstances. Loon was apparently arrested in Belgium in 2011, in connection with drug charges that allegedly connected him back to dealings in the United States. Authorities are claiming Loon "knowingly and intentionally" had a kilo of heroin to sell in North Carolina, sometime between 2006 and 2008.
Today, Loon found out he'll have to serve 14 years in prison, and will be kept at a detention center in Brussels for the time being. He spoke from the center, sharing his side of what happened and proclaiming his innocence.
"In 2008, some individuals had crossed my path who were interested at one point about the music business," said Loon. "These individuals called me about something that was totally away from the life I was living. The fact that I responded to these individuals placed me under the umbrella of conspiracy."
Loon, who converted to Islam at some point during his hiatus, says the U.S. government constructed the whole thing. Check out what Loon has to say above.
