Even though Macklemore beat Kendrick Lamar in the category for Best Rap Album at the 2014 Grammy Awards, Macklemore doesn't honestly think he should've won that category, and let the world know just how blown away he felt after he was announced the victor. He sent a text to Kendrick following the award show which he posted to his Instagram account, explaining that he really thinks that Kendrick got robbed, and that he really deserved to win it.
Regardless if Macklemore thinks that Kendrick should've been named the winner of that award, he was still very honored to have been recognized for it, and accepted it with pride. The world can look forward to a new competitive Hip-Hop rivalry when it comes to Grammy honors between Kendrick Lamar and Macklemore, in the near future.
