The Wu-Tang Clan is potentially turning music on its head by releasing just one copy of their double album, "Once Upon a Time in Shaolin," which has been recorded in secret over the past two years. The project will come in an engraved silver-and-nickel box, handcrafted by British-Moroccan artist Yahya, who has created works for royal families and business leaders around the world.
RZA spoke to Forbes about the project, "We're about to put out a piece of art like nobody else has done in the history of [modern] music. We're making a single-sale collector's item. This is like somebody having the scepter of an Egyptian king."
The group will take the box with them on tour, where it will be on display at different museums and art houses, but it will be guarded like the precious piece of art it is.
