After a man was killed backstage at the San Jose stop of Wiz Khalifa's Under the Influence of Music tour, law enforcement officers canceled the August 23rd scheduled concert date in Chula Vista as they continue to investigate.
As of now, the concert will not be reshecduled, but Live Nation who is promoting the tour, guaranteed attendees will recieve full refunds.
Wiz took to his Twitter to solemnly address the situation.
"Due to a situation out of our control, tonight's UTIOM show is cancelled," Wiz said. "This was a senseless tragedy. Violence is never the answer. My prayers go out to the victim's family."
During the tour's Shoreline Amphitheatre stop in Mountain View, CA, on Friday, a 38-year-old man was shot backstage and succumbed to his wounds at a hospital early Saturday morning.
The status of the tour's next scheduled stop, today in Irvine, CA, is currently unknown.
