Lil Durk has his wife in his corner after he was denied bail over his gun charge on Thursday.
According to the Chicago Tribune, the rapper's previous gun charges have made it impossible for the rapper to be released. Durk is currently on probation stemming from an arrest from a previous gun charge. The Chicago rapper was seen in the courtroom waving to his children and his wife before heading back to the police custody. His wife says she was happy about the amount of support she's seen.
"He's not guilty," she said."He's happy his family was here supporting him but not happy being here."
Durk was arrested on Wednesday and charged with unlawful use of a weapon for two guns he insists weren't his. The guns, one a Glock .45 caliber handgun and the other a Springfield .45-caliber handgun were loaded with over 10 bullets. His lawyer, Sam Adam Jr., stated that the guns may have belonged to a friend of the rapper who was present when he was arrested.
"In three weeks, he was going on a world tour," Adam told the judge. "Nine people were present these guns could have been theirs."
On the same day of his arrest, the rapper released a series of tweets on loyalty and alluded to his debut album Remember My Name in one of his tweets.
