Erykah Badu's music preferences ruffled the feathers of Azealia Banks over the weekend, leading to a brief spat on Twitter.
The drama began on Saturday when a fan asked the legendary singer if she ever listened to Azealia Banks' music. When Badu responded with the simple answer, "tried." Banks stepped in and claimed the singer was jealous. She also mocked Badu's earthy vibes and claimed she was too out of touch to understand her music. Banks released her long awaited debut album, Broke With Expensive Taste to positive reviews late last year.
Badu, who happened to be in New York, replied and jokingly agreed that she was out of touch with the younger crowd and proceeded to tweet a photo of herself and Rihanna.
