Lord Jamar and Star sat down for a rather lively conversation about the Grammys, Pharrell, and Eminem's rank as "King of Hip Hop" according to Star.
Both Lord Jamar and Star agreed that Pharrell's outfit for the Grammys was offensive, as Star chastised the producer for "cooning" for mainstream America. They also discussed Kanye urging Beck to give his Grammy to Beyonce, with Lord Jamar saying he has no problem with Beck winning, but many black people simply don't listen to his music.
He also said a lot of Black people don't rock with Eminem either, to which Star responded saying Em is the "King of Hip Hop." Jamar proceeded to erupt with laughter at this very thought. The two debated Em's status, and while they didn't come to a full agreement, they could agree on the fact that Hip Hop culture has allowed those not of the culture to flourish.
