The People's Champ, Muhammad Ali, hopes that Manny Pacquiao will topple Floyd Mayweather at the upcoming legendary bout, according to Ali's daughter, Rasheda Ali.
Rasheda, who shares a close relationship with her legendary father, tells TMZ, "My dad is team Pacquiao all the way. My daddy really likes Manny. He's a huge fan of his."
She goes on to reveal that Muhammad's impressed by Manny's altruistic actions, "He knows Manny's a great fighter...but it's more about what he does outside the ring. He is such a charitable person."
It's not surprising to learn that "The Greatest" and Manny have struck up a genuine friendship outside of the boxing ring. Back in 2012, Pacquiao even attended Ali's 70th birthday party.
Be that as it may, Muhammad Ali recognizes the inherent talent of Floyd Mayweather, and Rasheda tells the gossip site that her father respects Floyd "as a fighter," but she goes on to divulge that Floyd and Muhammad are very different people. Rasheda then contends, "My dad stood for things. Mayweather -- I don't think there's a comparison."
Regrettably, Muhammad won't be sitting ringside or personally attending the Vegas showdown; however, Rasheda declares that her father wouldn't miss the fight. "There's no question he's going to order it. It takes my dad way back to when he was fighting."
