The beef between Young Thug and Lil Wayne is simmering. Following the announcement of changing his 'Carter VI' album title—which was subsequently due to some legal issues with Lil Wayne and his camp—the Rich Gang rapper posted a video message on his Instagram page informing his fans that he's heading to Weezy's hometown in Hollygrove, New Orleans to perform this Friday.
The clip, which features Thug in the studio with his friends and posse, shows them in the background waving around firearms as Thugger states, "First show in New Orleans, Hollygrove. F*ck nigga, meet me there—better yet, beat me there."
Of course, the video comes a day after Thug released a video detailing the album's title alteration, with this heated message, "Can't name the mixtape Carter Six cause the f*ck ass n*ggas trying to sue. Just like some hoes. I'm a big ol Blood, so I'm going Barter Six," says Thug.
This also comes after some footage surfaced last week from a recent Wayne show, where he publicly voiced out his grievances with Thug, and firmly told the crowd to not support Young Thug's music and his forthcoming album, Barter 6. Thug later released his rebuttal, and stated that he had nothing but love for Lil Wayne and that he was his idol.
Coincidentally, Thugger's upcoming show on Friday (April 17) is also the same day as the release for his much controversial project, Barter VI.
