It looks like Lil Mama's comeback record is making waves among the women in the music industry.
The artist and dancer released the single "Sausage" to mixed reviews this week, along with a potential viral music video. While to some she's remembered for her stage crashing of Jay Z and Alicia Keys performance at the MTV Music Video Awards, the rapper's single has caught the attention on Solange Knowles, Missy Elliott, and MC Lyte.
Lyte, who is a friend of Lil Mama, tweeted her support while Solange contemplated how she would like to include some of the catchy dances from the video in her own personal performance sets.
Elliott joined the team of Lil Mama supporters when a fan noted that the legendary rapper may have influenced the visual to the track. "That's cool!" Missy tweeted. " We need some fun music to make people dance again:) people have forgotten that's what music about."
Lil Mama also received love and support from Charlemagne Tha God when he slammed critics of the single in The Breakfast Club's "Donkey Of The Day" segment.
