August Alsina was trying to do something positive by holding a benefit concert for his home city of New Orleans, but the higher ups in the city didn't think it was a good idea.

After getting shut down the famed singer took to Twitter and Instagram to air out his frustrations and told followers, "The worlds f***ed up.. Even trying to do something positive, everybody not gonna be on your side or have your best interest in heart. Racism, Stereotype and Discrimination is obviously still very alive, they box us in ALL as one."

He later explained that he was trying to put the event together in the right way by getting permission, but his celebrity status was concerning to city officials.
