Mike G first broke into the Hip-Hop world as a part of the Odd Future collective, and the West Coast emcee told VladTV that while he still sees all of the members of the group, he admits that they're not as close as when they first started out. Stating that there's no bad blood between any of them, he added they're "growing into themselves."
During the conversation the "Forest Green" rapper spoke about Mountain Dew cancelling Tyler, the Creator's ad, which Dr.Boyce Watkins said was a form of "corporate racism." Mike called the incident "excessive," and he admitted that he was shocked at both Watkins' statement and Mtn. Dew pulling the ad. He also revealed that Tyler was set to release a second commercial for the beverage giant, but after the scandal it was also cancelled.
