When "Straight Outta Compton" released on August 14, millions of N.W.A. fans ran to the theaters to catch a glimpse into the life and times of the infamous group. With their help, the biopic topped the box office with $56.1 million during it's opening weekend. Three days ago, the number reached $111.5 million in total, and Cold 187um of Above the Law surely isn't surprised, as he feels the character portrayals and the recounts of their lives were "phenomenal" - to a point, of course. "It jumped around a little bit for me, as far as the times that we're talking about," he tells during our interview. Understandably so, however, being that "they had to put a lot of things into one perspective."
At one point Eazy-E's son attempted to nab the role of his father in the film, but just about everyone wholeheartedly agrees with the director and producer's decision to cast Jason Mitchell as the rough and tough Eric Wright. "He was phenomenal to me...I couldn't believe it," Cold 187um says of actor Mitchell.
