DJ Mustard made history at the 2015 Hip-Hop/R&B Awards by taking home some of the most honorable awards of the ceremony, The Los Angeles Times reports.
The producer, who has led the music scene with singles from Tinashe, YG, Big Sean and many more this year took home a total of 12 awards. Some of the titles included the "Publisher of the Year," "Songwriter of the Year" and Producer of The Year." His latter winnings were the first time an artist has ever took home the honors in the same year.
Some of the songs Mustard was also praised for were the singles, "2 On," (Tinashe) "Don't Tell 'Em," (Jeremih) "I Don't F**ck With You," (Big Sean) "Main Chick," (Chris Brown) "My Hitta," (YG) "Na Na," (Trey Songz) "No Mediocre," (T.I) "Paranoid," (Ty Dolla Sign) "Show Me," (Kid Ink) and "Who Do You Love?." Other producers awarded were J. Cole and Kanye West.
Mustard posted two of his specialized award crystals on Instagram and spoke about his history making winnings.
The biggest award of the night went to Nile Rodgers, who was given the 2015 BMI Icon Award. Snoop Dogg presented the award to the legendary artist. Deborah Cox, V. Bozeman, Kathy Sledge, Kelly Price and Cee Lo Green performed a tribute for Rodgers.
