When artists get to a certain level of fame in their career, they're bound to get involved in some sort of drama. Drake and Meek Mill provided laughs for months as their beef escalated by the day over the Summer, and before them, the biggest beef in the rap game was between Ja Rule and 50 Cent. The two men are still at odds with each other years later, and in a newly released clip stemming back from around 2004, Ja Rule reflects on the situation that slightly damaged his career.
During his talk with popular British DJ Tim Westwood, Ja Rule spoke on his then-newly released single "New York" before delving into his back and forth with 50 Cent, the Jamaica, Queens lyricist who'd just released his first single, "In Da Club," a year prior. "When I look at the whole situation, I'm like, 'damn,' you know, the world was very passionate about this whole situation, you know," says Ja. "And it just struck me as odd that people could be so passionate about a situation."
