A month from now, Spike Lee's highly-anticipated film, Chiraq, will be released in theaters. Kanye West and Common don't appear to be in it, but the film's lively trailer has many people counting down until the notable director's latest work debuts.
Although the aforementioned artists/actors have not committed to the film, Samuel L. Jackson, Nick Cannon, John Cusack and rising star Teyonah Parris have made Chiraq a definite must-see. The film - based on the Greek play, Lysistrata - tells the story of the rising gang violence in Chicago neighborhoods and the women who are willing to go to extremes to put a stop to it all.
