A man is in custody after jumping the fence and running onto the North Lawn while the First Family was inside celebrating Thanksgiving.
Secret Service spokesperson Robert Hoback revealed that Joseph Caputo was apprehended after scaling the fence, which was caught on camera by White House intern, Vanessa Pena. The woman revealed that she was walking around with her sister when "the man came up behind us," and Pena added that, "I heard him take a deep breath and say, 'All right, let's do this.'"
An extra seven inches of spikes were recently added to the fence to deter such incidents after at least three similar incidences occurred earlier this year.
