New York Knicks head coach, Derek Fisher, was fired Monday after the NBA team lost its fifth straight game. So far, the Knicks are 23-31, and currently sit 12th in the Eastern Conference. According to ESPN's Brian Windhorst, the team didn't believe Fisher was making an effective transition from athlete to head coach.
Although some assume that Fisher's melee with former teammate, Matt Barnes, may have ultimately got him canned, no reports confirming that rumor have surfaced. However, fans speculate that an Instagram photo of the athlete sitting clean posted an hour after the news led some to believe he was throwing "shade."
