Janice Dickinson's defamation complaint against Bill Cosby's former lawyer, Marty Singer, has been thrown out.
A Los Angeles judge dismissed the suit Dickinson's team filed after the comedian's lawyer caller her a "liar" in response to her rape accusations against Cosby in May 2015.
The incident led the actor's team to file an anti-SLAPP motion, that protects free speech, however, Dickinson's lawyer, Lisa Bloom, told The Hollywood Reporter that their main issue is Cosby. "I think we're going to prevail on the anti-SLAPP motion at the end of February," Bloom said. "Then the case will really begin in earnest with the depositions that we have sought with discovery and ultimately with the trial, where we're very confident we will prevail. The primary focus of this case has always been against Bill Cosby and remains against Bill Cosby."
In 2014, the former model accused Cosby of raping her in 1982 at a Lake Tahoe hotel room.
