Karen Civil recently appeared on Taxstone's "Tax Season" podcast, where she spoke about getting her start working in the hip-hop world. Her story included a part about Cam'ron possibly losing Dipset their deal at Def Jam after he didn't move out of Jay Z's parking spot.
She explained, "And then this Maybach wants to pull up and they honk. I'm like 'Oh I think that's Hov' so I back up. Cam's like 'chill out.' So then the car beeps again. And Cam ain't move. So then Jay had to get out the car and he walked over cause he wanted to see who was in the car, like who wouldn't move out the way. So then he came over, he looked..." Karen added, "Dipset was out of the building the next week. And so we set up shop in Juelz's [Santana] studio for a little bit."
However, Cam'ron tells a different story about the situation, revealing that he left Def Jam with the blessing of L.A. Reid, so that he could sign a $5 million deal at Warner.
