Charges against the five Brooklyn teenagers accused of gang raping a woman in a Brownsville park at gunpoint earlier this year have been dropped. According to the New York Daily News, the victim has recanted her story, and she now claims that the teens never had a gun. The 18-year-old woman added that when the teens happened upon her she was having sexual relations with her father.
Brooklyn DA Ken Thompson explained, "The complainant has recanted her allegations of forcible sexual assault and the existence of a gun, and she does not wish to pursue criminal charges against any of the defendants. She also refuses to cooperate with any prosecution against her father, who was engaging in sexual conduct with her."
