Hillary Clinton was confronted by a man—who wrongfully spent 39 years on death row—about her stance on execution. During the aired event, Ricky Jackson had to keep his composure about his time spent in prison for a murder he didn't commit. After taking a few seconds to himself, he asked her why she stood behind the death penalty when there has been cases where former inmates were exonerated. The Democratic presidential candidate expressed that she only believes execution should only be handed to domestic and international terrorists that've had a hand in mass killings such as 9/11 and the Oklahoma City Bombing.

Clinton told Jackson, "What happened to you is a travesty, and I just can't even imagine what you went through and how terrible those days and nights must have been for all of those years... I hope that now that you are standing here before us that you will have whatever path in life you choose going forward and that you will get the support that you deserve to have."
