Bad Boy rapper Machine Gun Kelly apparently believes that dying on stage would be an honorable end to his life.
He recently sat down for an interview with DJ Skee where he discussed a performance at the Minnesota State Fair Soundset Festival where he almost got himself killed during a performance. The rapper climbed up a bunch of beams during his set and was pretty high up with only one leg supporting him. If his toe gave out, Kelly could have died easily from the fall. “All I thought about, I was like if I’m gonna die its gonna be right here in front of 60,000 wild fans,” he said. “If I was gonna go, I was gonna go. I was completely ok with it..” After discussing his near death experience at the concert, Kelly turned things up in the interview. In order to get a spot on DJ Skee’s greatest hits reel, he flipped over the couch he was sitting on and laid on the bottom of it for the rest of the clip. Skee was cool with the antic, but asked Kelly that he “not die” while changing up his position.
The Minnesota State Fair Soundset Festival is the largest hip-hop festival in the mid-west. Kelly was happy to be a part of it, and explained the significance at performing at festivals to DJ Skee. “We weren’t ever booked on festivals, you know what I mean? In fact festivals have went out of their way to ban us from playing their festivals,” he said. “It’s all coming around man.” Machine Gun Kelly is known for his wild antics and trashing things.
