Footage of a hit and run executed by a woman who became enraged upon learning that her boyfriend was HIV positive, was obtained by several news agencies on Tuesday [June 14]. Misty lee Wilke, of Phoenix, AZ has been indicted on charges of attempted murder, leaving the scene, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after a video produced by a neighbor's security camera recorded the 43-year-old charging into the victim with her red Ford Mustang.
The incident occurred on April 29 following an argument that broke out from him breaking her the news about his having contracted the virus. She reportedly waited in the vehicle for the un-named victim to arrive home later in the day. In the clip, he is seen wheeling towards their driveway on a bicycle when Wilke's car zooms into the frame, knocking him into a somersault that sends his body over the hood. Moments later he staggers to his feet and stumbles off onto the sidewalk where he collapses again.
Authorities soon located Wilke, reporting that the man's hair and blood were found on the vehicle. Hospital documents report that he suffered a fractured vertebra and a serious head injury. The distraught suspect was arrested, and faces charges of attempted murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
