Rappers Vince Staples and Lord Jamar are embroiled in another beef after the Long Beach rapper caught wind of Jamar's threats while answering a fan's questions during his live interview with VladTV. Besides talking to his fans about pharmaceutical companies commercializing rap, he explained to a fan that if he were face-to-face with the "slick talking" rapper things would turn violent. "If the bum a** n**** was right here, he wouldn't be talking all slick out of his mouth like that because I'd be quick to punch a n**** like that in his f****** face." Jamar expressed, "But, I let it go...I see he's the type that try to get a rise out of you."
Saturday [July 9], Staples responded in a direct tweet to the Brand Nubian rapper, "So wassup with all this punching n***** in they face s*** you talking about cuh? @lordjamar."
Early this year, Lord Jamar addressed Staples views on the Golden Era of Hip Hop in which he briefly touched on with DJ Vlad saying, "Trying to put a critique and a standard on Hip Hop that is more Euro-based than it is Afro-based." Jamar explained. "All these idiots are the first ones to always talk about how much they sold, and all of this dumb s***, as if all of that matters when it comes to the quality of Hip-Hop."
Vince responded back with "lmao" and explained, "I'm laughing cause I never thought I'd hear a n**** ever say listen to what Lord Jamar has to say @lordjamar."
