Azealea Banks is quitting social media, and she let the world know her decision on her Facebook page this week.
The rapper said she’s done with the internet and the culture it creates. “I’m seriously tired of people’s feelings. I’m tired of seeing their overly sensitive reactions and responses to everything. I’m tired of having everything I say or do be monitored and I’m tired of being told how I should be behaving,” she said. “I’m quitting Facebook, and any other form of social media that allows me to engage with people. My legacy can’t live and die on the Internet. Goodbye. For good.”
Banks has been known to stir up controversy using social media. She has used to medium to insult artists, blast politicians, and support Donald Trump. Banks even got into it with former Alaska governor Sarah Palin.
