Zaytoven stopped by VladTV to talk with us about Gucci Mane and Drake's new mixtape; he talked about what led up to the tape and the progress on it. "We were shooting a video for 'Gucci's Home' and Drake just showed up... they got to talking, you know how Gucci is, and he was like aye man we oughta do something let's do a tape together.." The tape is going to be named the 6ers due to Gucci Mane being from Atlanta's "Zone 6," and Drake being from the side of Toronto labeled "The 6." Zaytoven said him and Mike Will Made It are already making beats for the tape. "We had started recording songs that day... We did the songs at Gucci house, and he sent them to Drake, and Drake said he's knocking them out."
Zaytoven also touched on what's next for him. He's working on a new movie "Birds of a Feather 2," and he also is collaborating with Lil Uzi Vert, a hot new hip-hop artist in the rap game. He said he never knows what can happen in the music industry, "Tomorrow I might be in the studio with Rihanna, we don't know."
Zaytoven had plenty of advice for producers who are aspiring to be as successful as him. "It's really finding a sound, and being consistent with that... I always tell up and coming producers find you an artist you believe or an artist that will do whatever it takes to make it in the rap game. Then attach yourself to that person, that's the way I made it in the game, attaching myself to Gucci and we built a chemistry and a sound together..."
