A rap supergroup that never was reunited for a photo recently as Jay Z, Ja Rule and DMX, the original Murda Inc., stood side-by-side for the first time in 15 years.

The three were spotted together at an event. Back in 1999, these three rappers were supposed to record an entire album together, but it never happened. Their grouping resulted in the creation of two songs including “Murdergram” from the “Streets is Watching” soundtrack and “It’s Murda” from Ja Rule’s “Venni Vetti Vicci.” Fans never got what could have been a game-changing album. Instead, all three of these men went on to become 3 of the biggest rappers of all time. They released classic singles and albums and dominated mainstream hip-hop for almost a decade. Jay Z is still one of the most prominent figures in all of the media.

The group was assembled by Murder Inc. frontman Irv Gotti. All three of these men had close ties to him. At the time, his label had not been established yet, but both Jay Z and DMX were multi-platinum artists. Ja Rule had one major appearance on Jay’s “Can I Get A.” The verse made Ja Rule an instant star. DMX went in his direction and beefed with both of these men at some point in his career. Now it seems like all the tension has finally died down.
