Meiko Buchanan, aka Rockhead, 25, was sentenced to 45 years in prison for the killing of Leonard Anderson, a 17-year-old up and coming Chicago rapper. Anderson, who was friends with Lil Durk, was gunned down while leaving a studio in September 2013.
Two others were charged in Capone's murder, Michael Mays and Sakhee Hardy-Johnson, who confessed to the crime along with Buchanan. Buchanan admitted that he was the "trail car" driver, and he added that he watched the gunman sneak up on L'A and shoot him twice.
Assistant State's Attorney Alex Molesky told the Chicago Tribune that the rival gang members had an ongoing feud with Anderson. The late rapper's mother reacted to Buchanan, Mays, and Hardy-Johnson being charged back in October, as she posted on Instagram, "I know u in heaven smiling down right now got some justice for you today 1 down 2 more to go #justiceforlacapone."
