In December, legendary rap trio The Lox, comprised of Styles P, Jadakiss, and Sheek Louch, sat down with VladTV following the release of their first studio album in 16 years, Filthy America...It's Beautiful. In the above segment, Jada, Styles, and Sheek talk with VladTV's Mereb Gebremariam about the up-and-coming generation of rappers and the phenomenon of ghostwriting in hip-hop and rap. The Lox concede that while they may not want to listen to Lil Yachty's music all day long, they respect him for being a young black man that's making his way without having to get in trouble with the law. Styles then explains the difference between being a great entertainer and a great MC, and how having a ghostwriter prevents artists like Drake, Kanye, and Diddy from being in great-of-all-time lyricist discussions.
