West Coast hip-hop came together on stage to celebrate the induction of Tupac Shakur into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on Friday night, April 7. Although Pac was born in New York City and raised up through childhood in Baltimore, the late icon made his career out in California, from his early days dancing and doing cameos with Digital Underground, to his rise to superstardom on Death Row Records.

"2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted" was one of two tracks Snoop Dogg was featured on All Eyez On Me, and as such it was one of the tracks that banged hard in the streets. At the time Snoop and Pac joining as label mates was one of the biggest stories in rap music, and with each time Snoop stepped out alongside the passionate orator, his presence as the face of the West grew exponentially.

Pairing up with the Long Beach OG at Friday's ceremony was Cali rapper YG, who is well on his way to being one of the most recognizable faces from Compton's rap tradition. Together he and Snoop honored Tupac by covering "2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted," and for if only a couple of minutes, turning the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame into a "Gangsta Party."
