West Coast producer DJ Quik was in shock when he learned of Tiger Woods' arrest for driving under the influence in Jupiter, Florida early Monday morning, May 29. Quik was informed of the news by a TMZ reporter while traveling through LAX airport hours after the story broke. With one glance at the golf legend, Quik could tell that he was "blitzed," and speculated that Woods woes might have to do with him having never gotten over his 2010 split from Elin Nordegren.
"He miss his wife. You know, that'd cause you to drink when you let your wife go for some h**s," Quik told the reporter, before adding that the decline in his game may also be driving him off of the deep end. After questioning why such a successful man wouldn't have hired a driver, Quik stopped hypothesizing and simply gave Woods a word of advice. "Dry up Tiger man. That's not the look bro. It look like, you know. It look like an SOS right now," he said.
By late Monday, TMZ would cover developments on the story once more, by publishing a statement Tiger has issued, in which he blames a bad mix of medications he's been taking since having back surgery in April, for the disorientation that led to his arrest.
