Many rap fans can't wait to see what rappers from the new generation will grace XXL's freshmen class cover each year. 2017 marks the 10th anniversary of the cover and a decade-long slew of debates about who made the cover and why, and who turns down their spot on the front page. Over the last ten years, we have seen many of the careers of the people who are placed on these covers take off.
2017's Freshman Class includes Ugly God, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, PnB Rock, Madeintyo, Playboi Carti, Amine, Kap G., Kyle the Rapper, XXXTentacion, and Kamaiyah holding it down for the women.
