Several white nationalist groups are facing a $3 million lawsuit over the attack in Charlottesville that left one person dead and many others injured. Also named in the suit is the alleged driver of the car who ran down the victims.
Tadrint and Micah Washington were in the vehicle that police say James Alex Fields Jr. was driving on Saturday when he rammed their car. The Washingtons have named Fields, along with a dozen others, in the suit including Richard Spencer, David Duke, and Jason Kessler.
The Washingtons are suing in civil court for assault and battery and civil conspiracy and negligence, along with other counts.
Also named in the suit are several white nationalist groups including Proud Boys, Traditionalist Workers Party, National Socialist Movement and The Daily Stormer.
James Fields, 20, has been charged with second-degree murder, among other counts.
