According to ESPN, the Boston Celtics reached a trade agreement with the Cleveland Cavaliers to acquire Kyrie Irving in exchange for point guard Isaiah Thomas, forward Jae Crowder, center Ante Zizic and a 2018 draft pick. Earlier this year, Kyrie requested a trade from Cleveland so that he could be the focal point on a team and not in the shadows of LeBron James.
Isaiah Thomas was reportedly bracing for a trade on Tuesday (August 22) after being out several games last season with a hip-injury and he opted not to have surgery. It was unclear if he would be ready for training camp, according to Celtics coach Brad Stevens.
Do you think this was a good move for Kyrie?
