For the first time since undergoing surgery earlier this month, Ric Flair released a statement that provided fans with a hopeful message on Tuesday, August 29.
"Sometimes you have to get knocked down lower than you have ever been, to stand up taller than you ever were. Naitch WILL be back!" Flair tweeted.
Flair has been out of commission for weeks. After falling ill from what his wife alluded to as "multiple organ problems," The Nature Boy was forced to have surgery on the 14th. While the nature of the procedure was kept private, it was reported by several publications that doctors were going in to remove an obstruction in his bowels that had caused him kidney failure.
No timeline for his recovery has been reported, but it has been confirmed that he will soon begin physical therapy to help get The Nature Boy as close to 100% as possible in the upcoming weeks.
