TMZ reports that DMX will be checking into rehab in conjunction with a judge's ruling that allows him to opt out of house arrest. X stated, "house arrest wasn't working for me, so I made the decision to do something positive and better for myself." DMX was recently photographed during an outreach trip to a firehouse and is said to be making "great progress." His manager, Pat Gallo added that X is already working closely with a recovery coach. X also mentioned that he's still working on music, saying "My pen is still to the paper and I'm in Beast Mode."
