Sunday (Sept. 3rd) during his Made in America festival set Pusha T confirmed that his upcoming album King Push is coming soon but that he and Kanye are making sure that it comes out near perfect, as the GOOD Music honcho is producing the album from "top to bottom."
"I'm gonna go ahead and let y'all know," Pusha said. "I've done this album like three times, right. [Kanye] come in, he pick all the beats and sh*t. Then he hears the beats and he scraps them and says 'I can do better.' He's done that shit like three times."
"These last few months, we've been locking in day for day, night for night, getting this album perfect for y'all," explained Push. "Just to take it a bit further -- that's the luxury -- when you're on your rap superhero sh*t, you get the luxury of taking your time and being great for your family. Not my fans, my family, cause ya'll my family for real. I'm gonna take my time and get this sh*t right for y'all."
While we've gotten features and the VA rapper has become the president of GOOD Music, his last full-length album was in 2015. King Push: Darkest Before Damn was hailed for its lyrical potency and the rapper taking more of a social stand against the things that happen in his community and was presented as the prequel to his long-awaited King Push album.
