Yesterday, rapper Russ posted a picture of himself in a black t-shirt that said: "How much Xans and lean do you have to do before you realize you're a f**cking loser."
He captioned the photo, "After show. Message".
Russ' post caused some controversy on Twitter. Some agreed with his "message" and felt that doing drugs such as Xanax and Lean doesn't make you look cool, while others believe that some of the people doing the drugs are suffering from addiction and other mental health issues. Rapper Fredo Santana saw Russ' post and made this response.
"Until I can stop thinking about my dead homies and the trauma that I been thru in my life that's when I'll stop [smirking purple devil emoji]."
Drug use isn't a simple topic, and there are many reasons why people choose to self-medicate. However, both artists are entitled to their opinions, and it's good the conversation is being had.
