Zaytoven, a super producer in his own right known for making hits with Gucci Mane and Soulja Boy, signed to Motown Records.
The producer published a statement announcing his new partnership with the label and promised that new music is coming soon. “One of the most influential figures in urban music, Zaytoven is widely credited with curating the signature sound of such international superstars such as Gucci Mane, Future, and Migos. He has also worked with Drake, Nicki Minaj, Usher, Rick Ross, Lil Yachty and numerous other artists,” the release read. It also included a statement from Capitol CEO Steve Barnett. “Zaytoven’s prowess as a producer, songwriter and musician continues to have such influence and impact on music and popular culture, and his signing to Motown through his Familiar Territory Records will enable us all to experience his significant talents as a recording artist,” said Barnett. “I couldn’t be happier that Zaytoven is now a member of the CMG family.” Zaytoven grew up playing music in the church and eventually made the transition to hip-hop. He’s been one of the top names in southern rap production and doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. VIBE labeled him “Atlanta’s true trap music pioneer.”
