It has been less than a week then the horrifying news of 19-year-old Kenneka Jenkins' death was released. The Chicago teen went out to a party with her friends and went missing. When her friends called her mother, Tereasa Martin, to tell her that they couldn't find her, she immediately contacted the police and the Crowne Plaza hotel in Rosemont, Chicago to search for her daughter. Martin then went to the hotel with family to search for Kenneka. When she couldn't be found the police began a second investigation and then found her body in a walk-in freezer.
The police informed Martin that Kenneka walked herself into the freezer where she remained 24 hours before found. But information began circulating that she was murdered and Martin have began their own investigation. Attorney Sam Adam Jnr, representing the family stated, "Now there has to be an answer to how that happened. Better yet, there has to be an answer as to why that happened," when speaking as to why the hotel never checked or searched for Kenneka.
Just yesterday, Martin headed to the hotel to seek justice for Kenneka and asked for those that were available to come and support, "Hey live. I'm just letting you know we still on. Same place. Get there when y'all can."
