As the NBA season looms, much attention will be spent eyeing the new-look Boston Celtics featuring all-star point guard, Uncle Drew, a.k.a. Kyrie Irving. During a Bleacher Report interview, Kyrie details how he didn't play much in the gym during his formative years in New Jersey. He and his father built their own basketball hoop and after a couple of years the right side of the backboard broke off. Kyrie and his father didn't fix the hoop and therefore Kyrie had to adjust. The ultimatum was either going left the entire time or, "I can learn how to spin the ball on my backboard so I can use it to my advantage." Kyrie's game is built on shaking the defender on the perimeter and ending with a quirky finish which can be credited to Kyrie's dilapidated hoop.
