Odell Beckham Jr. made his long-awaited return to the gridiron for Week 2 of Monday Night Football on September 18, and he did so in style. Unfortunately, though, fashion points don't translate into success in the NFL, and so the "Savage" visor Beckham gazed through from beneath his helmet proved inconsequential to how he'd perform come kickoff time.

Fans seated at MetLife Stadium and those watching the telecast at home were happy to see their blond-haired wide receiver, following a four-week long absence from action due to an ankle injury he suffered in the pre-season. Beckham made his return after a demoralizing Week 1 defeat to the Dallas Cowboys that had many concluding the team ranked as a top NFC contender heading into the season, doesn't have a leg to stand on without its top guy. But Giants head coach Ben Mcadoo was wary of cutting his fourth-year All-Pro loose, and so not only did he keep from starting OBJ; he only played him on 61% of the offense's snaps.

The Lions defense was able to hold Beckham to 4 catches on 5 attempts for 36 yards. He'd be outshined by rookie tight end Evan Engram, who matched Beckham's four catches but exceeded him for 49 yards and a touchdown in the 24-10 loss.
