While appearing at a campaign rally for Alabama Senator Luther Strange, Donald Trump shared his thoughts on the National Anthem protests in the NFL.
He told the crowd in Huntsville, Alabama, “We’re proud of our country, we respect our flag,” adding, “Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when someone disrespects our flags to say, `Get that son of a bitch off the field right now! Out. He’s fired! He’s fired!“
The President went on to mock the NFL's ratings, saying they're “down massively, massively.” He also took credit for the ratings dipping, “The No. 1 reason happen to be that they (TV viewers) like watching what’s happening with yours truly.”
