Salutes and praise have flooded Cardi B's social media pages after it was announced her "Bodak Yellow" hit No.1 on the Billboard 100. The Bronx native has received love from social media, including a message from boyfriend Offset. Now, Nicki Minaj has taken to Twitter to give Cardi some deserved well-wishes.
"Congratulations to a fellow NEW YAWKA on a RECORD BREAKING achievement. Minaj tweeted out on Monday, September 25. "Bardi, this is the only thing that matters!!! Enjoy it."
With Bodak Yellow topping the charts, Cardi B becomes the first solo female rap in 19 years to hit No.1. The only other time this achievement has occurred is in 1998 when Lauryn Hill's released her single "Doo Wop (That Thing)." Despite speculation that two female emcees had a beef with one another, the pair has maintained there is no form of animosity towards each other.
While Cardi B is celebrating her success, Minaj is gearing up for a new album. The Queens rapper, who recently was pictured with Nas in a 1988 Benz, has stated that her new project will be the biggest to date. Speaking with Dazed, Minaj said, "This era will be a billion times more epic than anything "‘Anaconda’ could have delivered,”
