Azealia Banks is just about the only person hating on Cardi B’s “Bodak Yellow” going No.1.
She recently called the Bronx rapper the “poor man’s Nicki" in a Twitter rant after a fan asked her why she was suddenly throwing shade at Cardi. Banks explained: “Because I thought she was going to be a Latina hottie and not a poor man’s nicki. It went the other way now I’m over it. I wanted spicy Latina and she gave me a poor mans nicki.” She also targeted radio DJ Charlamagne Tha God for not pushing black female artists. “Charlemagne and black men in hip hop should have gotten me, remy AND nicki a number one before they gave cardi or Iggy one. But literally, white guys buy black men away from black women and it’s so cringe,” she tweeted.
Azealia started her rant by dissing all inciting racial bias. “I’m sorry. Black industry men are too hype for this Latina girl I’ve never seen them jump like this for Remy or Nicki,” tweeted Banks. “Spinning this ‘for the culture’ story when they are simply letting white men at Atlantic buy them into hating their own women.”
The twitter account has since been deactivated.
