WIVB has reported that rapper/singer/songwriter, PartyNextDoor has been arrested for drug possession at the U.S.-Canada border.
The Toronto native, whose real name is Jahron Anthony Brathwaite, along with his friend, Jerome Nevins, was on a bus from Ontario heading to the U.S. on Thursday morning. The NY State troopers were called to assist U.S. customs at the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge and during their search, they found Nevins in possession of Xanax and Brathwaite was in possession of Xanax and Oxycodone.
Both Nevins & Brathwaite were charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. The two were issued appearance tickets returnable in the town of Lewiston Court. It has not been said if either one has to appear in court for the charges.
PartyNextDoor has not released a statement yet.
PND recently dropped a new EP, Seven Days. He also dropped a new track titled, "Own Up to Your S***," and fans believe that he may be taking shots at his ex-girlfriend, Kehlani, but that has not been confirmed. PND also collaborated with Jadakiss for the track, "Cartier" at the beginning of September.
PND's next studio album, Club Atlantis is set to release soon.
