Today, Paid in Full turns 15! The iconic movie hit theaters on Oct. 25, 2002, and is considered a classic in the Hip Hop community. The cast included Wood Harris, Mekhi Phifer, Cam'ron, and more. The soundtrack to the film was released a month later by Roc-A-Fella Records. The soundtrack peaked at 53 on the Billboard 200 and 10 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.
Last summer, VladTV conducted an exclusive interview with film writer Azie Faison. In the interview, Faison admits that he dropped out of school in the ninth grade and began working at a neighborhood dry cleaners, where he initially got into the drug game.
Paid in Full tells the story of Ace (Wood Harris), a young man from Harlem working at a dead end job. Ace's friend Mitch (Mekhi Phifer) is a popular drug dealer -- and soon Ace gets exposed to drug dealing lifestyle eventually moving to the top of the Harlem drug world.
